Material: Copper+Silver Plated

Size: Diameter 13CM-Height 21.5CM,

How to use:

1) Using a pair of tongs to hold the charcoal piece, light it up by carefully passing it over a flame. Once lit up and glowing, place it into the plate of the incense burner.

2) Add a small piece(s) of Bukhoor on the lit glowing charcoal on the plate of incense burner.

3) Let the fragrant smoke from the Bukhoor fill the air in the surrounding. Don't open the windows wide but allow slits of ventilation till the room is saturated with the fragrance carried by the smoke of the Bukhoor. Once a pleasant smell is achieved, you can open the windows to get rid of the smoke. The fragrance stays there after the smoke goes away.

4) To perfume the clothes with Bukhoor, expose the cloth directly to the smoke of the Bukhoor for about 3 minutes. The scent will remain on the clothes for sometime thereafter.

Bukhoor or Bakhoor is the Arabic name given to scented bricks or a blend of natural traditional ingredients, mainly woodchips (Oud the Arabic name for Agarwood/Aloeswood) soaked in fragrant oils and mixed with other natural ingredients (resin, ambergris, musk, sandalwood , essential oils and others). These scented chips/bricks are burned in charcoal or incense burners to perfume the house and clothing with the fragrance rich thick smoke. This is used specifically on special occasions like weddings or on relaxing times and love occasions or generally just to perfume the house or store, and to boost positive energy. It is traditional in many Arab countries to pass Bukhoor among the guests in the Majlis (Arabicمجلس, meaning sitting room) this is done as a gesture of hospitality.
